These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement (the “Agreement”) between you and UBUNTU Tours, a company incorporated in Canada (“UBUNTU Tours,” “we,” “us,” and/or “our”), governing your access and use of the UBUNTU Tours Application, Website, Content, Products, Services, and Technology Platform (collectively, the “UBUNTU Tours Platform” and/or “Services”). By entering into this Agreement, and/or by accessing and/or using our Services, you expressly acknowledge that you understand this Agreement and accept all its Terms. Non-compliance may result in the withdrawal of contract rates and release of bookings.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, YOU MAY NOT USE OR ACCESS OUR SERVICES. UBUNTU Tours reserves the right to modify any of these Terms, and such modifications shall become effective upon UBUNTU Tours’ posting of such updated Terms at this location. Your continued access or use of our Services after such posting shall constitute your consent to such changes.
Please read the Terms and Conditions and Travel Notes carefully, as they outline our obligations and form the basis of your contract with us. “You” refers to all persons named on the booking, and “we” or “us” refers to UBUNTU Tours Limited. These terms may be amended due to changing circumstances; the terms at the time of booking are valid. Conditions in Africa differ from developed countries, and local laws and regulations apply to your holiday arrangements.
UBUNTU Tours endeavors to provide accurate information on this site but makes no warranties regarding the site’s operation or the information provided. UBUNTU Tours and its associates are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this site. Personal information is treated as confidential and not shared with third parties unless required by law. The site may use cookies to enhance user experience, and users can configure their browsers to not accept cookies. UBUNTU Tours may send promotional emails, and users can opt out of receiving them.
Information provided about national parks, animal sightings, accommodation, itineraries, gorilla permits, and security is given in good faith based on the latest information available. UBUNTU Tours cannot accept responsibility for errors or omissions beyond its control.
Bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability.
A deposit may be required at the time of booking.
A booking is confirmed once we receive a deposit and send a booking confirmation via email.
Ensure quotation details are clear and accurate before confirming the booking in writing.
Prices are confirmed at the time of booking, and we reserve the right to correct errors.
Surcharges apply only if costs increase by more than 2%. If the increase exceeds 10%, you may cancel with a full refund (excluding gorilla permits) within 20 days of notification.
A 50% refundable deposit is required upon receipt of the invoice (or the value of permits if higher), except for non-refundable Gorilla Permits and other primate permits.
The final balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Gorilla permits are subject to availability and can only be purchased upon receipt of the deposit.
If payment is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and release the rooms.
Rates are subject to increase without notice due to factors beyond our control.
Cancellations more than 75 days prior to arrival: Deposit forfeited.
Cancellations between 60 - 45 days prior to arrival: 30% refundable.
Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival: 100% non-refundable.
No refunds for unused services.
We may cancel confirmed bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. We will offer an alternative holiday or a full refund (excluding gorilla/chimpanzee permits).
If we cancel for reasons not mentioned, we will pay a maximum compensation of $50.
We reserve the right to terminate the holiday of any person causing danger, annoyance, or distress to others, with no refunds or further responsibility.
Notify us or your travel agent in writing if you need to cancel. Cancellation fees apply per person as per payment terms. UBUNTU Tours may charge bank or credit card fees for refunds due to cancellation, amendment, or error by the customer.
Report complaints immediately to our representative and the service provider. If unresolved, submit a written report to the Head of Operations within 20 days after your holiday.
UBUNTU Tours sells only Tour and Travel Services, not international flights. Check bonding arrangements with your Tour Operator or Travel Agent.
We are not liable for events beyond our control, such as war, riots, natural disasters, extreme weather, and similar events.
Permits for gorilla tracking are purchased upon receipt of payment. Seeing gorillas/chimpanzees is not guaranteed. Refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority.
You must have appropriate insurance covering personal injury, medical expenses, death, repatriation, cancellation, curtailment, and loss or theft of personal property.
UBUNTU Tours operates under Canadian law.
We ensure all components of the holiday are supplied as described. We accept responsibility for our employees, agents, suppliers, and sub-contractors. Compensation is subject to the complaints procedure and force majeure clause. Liability for loss or damage to luggage or personal possessions is limited to US$20.
